Zhouzhuang is one of the many "Venice of China"... Photo was taken before the rest of the hordes descended on the place during this public holiday...
We made the error of visiting Zhouzhuang on 8th March (International Women's Day)... As the day wore on, the place became suffocatingly packed with local tourists. We spent lots of time shuffling against the crowds and too little time sightseeing.
